Claire Caulfield Brett ADHP MICHP HBCE

I am a clinical hypnotherapist and I am an accredited and experienced member of The Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I also offer hypnotherapy for other issues such as smoking cessation, weight control, phobias, IBS, pregnancy and fertility-related issues, stress management and much more. I am a qualified teacher of the foundation level of the Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Course with the ICHP.

I am grateful to have helped many people on their journey towards overcoming their fears and challenges and improving their quality of life, and I am still always amazed at the powerful positive changes my clients experience through this work.

Why I became a practitioner

Through my work as a hypnotherapist, I have been increasingly fascinated by the undoubted connection between the state of our minds (thoughts, feelings, worries, etc) and the health of our physical bodies.

In my classes I have come across an increasing amount of fear in women and their partners. It is no coincidence that alongside this fear comes ever-higher rates of medical intervention.  I really would like to change this for as many women as possible. I aim to help empower women to embrace birth as a wonderful, natural and joyful experience that they can experience in a positive way.

Teaching HypnoBirthing® is job satisfaction at its best! The classes give women and their birth companions tools that reach far beyond birth- the techniques are found to be invaluable in many other situations to remain calm and in control.

My aim is that my classes help to foster a safe, supportive environment for couples to explore their feelings, hopes and fears surrounding labour, birth & early parenting. I want to give mothers and their birth companions confidence in their inherent ability to manage their birth journey- wherever it may take them. By attending the course, women become more aware of the power of the mind, the strength of the body and the importance of family bonding.
